Research
As an academic in the fields of Critical Disability, Neurodiversity, Autism and ADHD Studies, I focus on Community Based and Participatory Action Research.
A graphic of the results of a study I participated in investigating community perspectives on what constitutes neuro-affirming care.

A matrix I developed that provides a breakdown regarding the nature of autism as a dynamic disability used to argue the lack of efficacy of the levelled system of formal identification.
Published Papers
Responses to papers that fail to engage with community thoughts and needs. Audits of autism research in relation to their funding bodies and undeclared conflicts of interest. Reviews of articles that show a lack of critical reflection around implicit biases or the prior body of research. The goal is to reduce the proliferation and minimise the harm of misinformation, misconceptions and misconduct in disability research.

STAR Scholar
After participating in the worldwide STAR Scholar program in 2023, the calibre of my work resulted in a citation for Outstanding Performance from the President of the network Uttam Gaulee.
ASfAR
The Australasian Society for Autism Research
I'm extra. I know. This poster won the Lawrie Bartak Award at the 2022 ASfAR Conference and references the initial review I undertook on the history of civil rights movements around the world in comparison to that of the Neurodiversity Movement. As a result of the relationships built within the Autistic academic community, I was able to serve on the board of ASfAR as the student representative.
